Fuel/Wallet Gauge

Our friend Stephanie sent this to us via an email. I thought it was funny and very appropriate with the rising gas prices. Actually it went down a few cents in the last week but, still it is over $2.90 a gallon for the cheap stuff in our area.

That is funny, Russ. Regretfully the reality is not. I have a passion for driving and I have a beautiful car but too often it sits idly in my driveway when I would love to be out on the road! I'm having to be more frugal with my gas and not make unnecessary trips because my poor husband does not have a choice. As a commercial painter he travels every day, and also pays his employees for their travel time. At this point he has a huge job an hour and a half away and is shelling out around $800 a month for gas. Ouch! So....funny but not so funny. God bless you and your family! P.S. How is that indoor livestock doing? :)

Hi Emily,
I'm not too far behind your husband in fuel expenses. I put in about $130 a week in my truck. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on what comes up in a week.

I was going to try and post an update about the lambs soon. They have been outside for awhile now, but it was fun having them inside while it lasted.

Thanks for the blessing. Same to you and yours.

Russ
