A Tray Of Lettuce

From Steven Schadler's visit here back in December we got inspired to plant this tray of lettuces. This is something he said that he does while it is still winter in ND. We planted four different kinds of lettuce that Kelli got from Diane Burns during a seed swap from last weekend. Lolla Rosa Looseleaf, Endive, Prizehead Looseleaf and Emerald Oakleaf.

What's your next step with the seedlings? Do you transplant?

The idea is to eat them. We've already begun thinning by eating the thinnings. It's nice to have some fresh green stuff even though we still have 2 feet of snow on the ground.
