Maple Syrup
Here is our first batch of syrup for this season. Nine half pint jars. The sap is still running so maybe we'll make a little more before the buds come on. Even if we don't this will probably last us until next year.
I heard that Phil Burns had a good year, that he made something like 1100 gallons. Wow! Can hardly imagine that.

how beautiful those jars are! for me,there is no feeling like the feeling i get from looking at jars of food i've seen to myself.

Yes I agree. It is a very satisfying feeling.
By the way I have tried a number of times to look at your blog and for some reason it seizes up my computer. Otherwise I'd be by for a visit.
