"Spring time in the northwoods baby"

Not long after we moved here Kelli and the kids used to babysit a little girl named Maggie. We had a dirt drive way as we had not yet gotten any gravel. Every spring it would be a muddy slippery mess. One time Maggie's dad came to pick her up and he had to slip slide his way to the house in his little pick up truck. The mud was easily over the tops of our boots. Anyway, I apologized to him for how bad our driveway was. He shrugged his shoulders and said "hey, that's spring time in the northwoods baby!" I still get a chuckle when I think of it and to this day when ever the weather in spring time throws us a challenge that's what I say, "that's spring time in the northwoods baby!".

You never know what your going to get here in the spring. This year just days into spring we got a snow storm, pictured below. Between 6 and 8 inches here in Sugar Camp. Rhinelander got over a foot.

We got this one as a gosling in 1998. He'll be 13 years old this year.

Hey Tom,
We still have snow here on April 2nd. It was snowing yesterday as we were boiling sap.

Several of our garbage customers have left recently. Guess they can't stand how long winter has been since they will be back in a month or so.
